Open Positions currently at JWM Transport

Flatbed Monday-Friday

JWM is a small, close-knit transportation company that works out of Walker, MI. We are looking for drivers as we grow to fit our dedicated customer’s shipping needs. JWM's flatbed division mainly hauls loads to locations in Michigan and the surrounding Midwest, with runs to the east, south, and also Ontario, Canada.

Requirements

 

  • Valid ENHANCED, Class-A CDL required.
  • 2 years driving with 1 year flatbed "preferred", steel coil knowledge also a plus
  • Workdays are usually 8-12 hours per day and typically Monday - Friday
  • Must be able to securely strap loads onto flatbed trailers
  • Driver Pay is $25-30 per hour
  • Basic  health insurance within 30 days of hire. Driver is paid for by JWM (Spouse, Dependants, vision,  dental, and upgraded health insurance available at driver’s expense)
  • Holiday pay available upon hire
  • PTO Available

Expectations

 

  • Be flexible with start/end times
  • Perform thorough daily vehicle/trailer inspection
  • Keep your truck clean and in good working order
  • Be on time for appointments
  • Be professional and courteous while at Falk Panel and on the customers’ work sites
  • Correctly utilize ELD
  • Keep good daily records
  • Securely strap loads onto flatbed trailers
  • Transport building materials to job sites or warehouse facilities in a timely fashion
  • Obtain signatures from receivers and send the BOL back to the office via email

Driver Pay

$25-30.00 per hour depending on experience.
