Heavy Haul Walking Floor

JWM Transport is looking for heavy haul drivers for a local position.

We are a small, close-knit, transportation company that works out of Coopersville, MI. We are looking for drivers as we grow to fit our dedicated customer’s shipping needs. JWM has a Walking Floor division that hauls loads from transfer stations to the landfill, and mulch from suppliers to their customers.

•  CDL A Without E Restriction (Required)  - at least two years driving experience
• One year of heavy haul experience , 8-axle experience is a plus
• We deliver to locations in Michigan
• Applicant needs to be willing to work Saturdays and possibly holidays.
• Workdays are usually 8-12 hours per day,
• Walking floor experience is a plus. (Willing to train)

• Must be able to fulfill the essential job functions in a consistent state of alertness and a safe manner
• Be flexible with start/end times
• Work performed primarily outside.
• Exposure to extreme weather, moving mechanical parts, and vibration
• Maintain all property entrusted to you in excellent condition, i.e. vehicle, fluid levels, lights, interior components, pumps, hoses, fittings.
• Perform thorough daily vehicle/trailer inspections
• Keep your truck and trailer clean and in good working order
• Be on time, we can only deliver 06:30 to 15:30. We need to be on time every day to make sure we get 4 loads delivered.
• Be professional and courteous at all times.
• Correctly utilize ELD
• Keep good daily records, properly fill out BOL paperwork for each delivery
• Job Type: Full-time
